Shri A K Srivastava, Executive Director, Network for Certification and Conservation of Forests addressed a delegation of forestry professionals from the Government of Bangladesh at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on July 4, 2019.

Shri Srivastava apprised them about Forest Conservation and Forest Certification in India. He, in his presentation, highlighted how Forest Certification promotes the sustainable management of Forests and contributes to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the commitments under the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The delegation expressed interest in knowing the details of the processes and procedures of forest certification. NCCF offered to provide professional assistance to Bangladesh in the matters of forest certification if so required by the Government of Bangladesh.
