Shri A K Srivastava,

Shri A.K.Srivastava, a veteran professional forester, was a Member of the Indian Forest Service and retired from the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF & CC) as Additional Director General of Forests and also held charge of the Director General of Forests and Special Secretary for some time. He has worked at various other senior positions in the Government of India and Government of Jammu & Kashmir like Director, Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal, PCCF and Chief Wildlife Warden, Jammu and Kashmir, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Inspector General of Forests and CEO, CAMPA, MoEF & CC, Additional Commissioner (NRM),Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He had been ex-officio Member of the National Forest Advisory Committee, National Biodiversity Authority and Animal Welfare Board of India. Mr Srivastava has dealt with the multilateral and bilateral organisations and voluntary bodies such as UNFF, FAO, UNDP, UNESCO, World Bank, JICA, GIZ, IUCN, WWF and WTI, etc and represented the Government of India in several international conventions / fora like UNFF, COFO, FAO, APFC, CITES, CMS, IWC etc. His academic qualifications include Masters degrees in Forestry (AIFC) and Biochemistry, NDC (M. Phil) in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National Defence College, New Delhi , MBA from the University of Hull, U.K.

Dr. Ajay Kumar Saxena

A veteran ecologist, forester and biologist with about two decades of diverse research and work experience in United Nations (UNDP and UNESCO), Governments, reputed NGOs and research institutions on subjects related to biodiversity conservation, climate change, forestry, ecology, sustainable development, etc. He is internationally trained with degrees from reputed institutions and universities in Europe and USA in the subjects of biodiversity related Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) such as CITES, CMS,CBD etc as well as environmental governance, ecological economics etc. He is first globally certified expert from India on biodiversity conventions with focus on international trade in threatened species of plants and animals. His interest areas are natural resource based sustainable development, bio resource markets development, ecology based climate change solutions, sustainable uses of biodiversity, forest governance, etc. He is an alumni of Delhi University, Forest Research Institute (University), Dehradun, Universidad International de Andalucia, Spain, Technical University of Dresden, Germany and Duke University, USA.

Ms Deepali is a natural resource management professional, with over four years of experience project management, sustainability certification standards and scheme development, coordination, international and national business communications, stakeholder engagement, outreach activities and organizing (International, National and regional) stakeholder workshops/ conferences. She has been associated with NCCF since 2015 and is actively engaged in collaboration with national and international partners and stakeholders. She was the National coordinator for the Forest Management Certification Standard Development Process. Presently working as Assistant Director for NCCF, she handles and looks after the overall functioning of the schemes and programs. She is the National Program Manager for (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) PEFC-CoC Administration in India and involved in the process of PEFC Endorsement of the NCCF FM Certification Scheme. She is an alumni of Fergusson College, Pune and Hansraj College, Delhi University

MR. kranav Sharma

Kranav Sharma holds two post-graduate degrees with M.Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI University and M.Sc. in Physics degree from Curtin University of Technology, Perth. He currently possesses close to six years of work experience in the fields of Energy, Climate change and Sustainability. Presently, he is working on development of first-of-its kind voluntary carbon offset mechanism in India, Carbon Registry-India (CR-I) at NCCF. In the past, he has been involved in performing third party independent validation and verification of carbon mitigation projects, for an UNFCCC approved entity, resulting from CDM project activities (PAs) and Programmes of Activities (PoAs), VCS and GS projects. Moreover, he was involved in organizing corporate level training programs and conducting business development activities in the form of marketing, tendering and proposal making.

In addition, Kranav is employed as a Guest Lecturer (under Department of Physics) with Jamia Milia Islamia (a central university) and lectures on topics like Renewable Energy, Energy Conservation & Management and Green Buildings, among others.

A Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management form Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) and in Mechanical Engineering. He previously interned with NCCF and joined full time in April 2017. He is currently coordinating the SDGs - PAWS, NWFP and TOF and is also assisting secretariat in their work/activities.

As Project Officer, his duties include technical aspects of Carbon Registry-India, coordination with stakeholders and other works associated with the programme. He previously interned with Greenpeace India in Climate and Energy division. Chetan has Masters’ degree in Climate Science and Policy and Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Renewable Energy both from TERI School of Advance Studies (Previously TERI University). He is also an alumni of Hansraj College, University of Delhi.

A Post Graduate (MBA) in Natural resources and Sustainable Development from Amity School of Natural Resources Development and graduate in Resource Management. She has joined NCCF in the Coordination and Administration department. She is currently looking after the administrative activities of NCCF, coordination of the Quality Planting Material Certification Standard Development Group and membership of the society

NCCF getting need based support from Honorary Advisors, professional experts, certification bodies, Chartered Accountant, legal/ audit/ IT /media consultants etc. on outsourcing basis. Our biggest strength is networking and multi stakeholder partnerships.
